EAGLE'S HISTORY

Eagle Pump & Compressor Ltd. began as Electric Crafts in the mid-1930’s. The company was founded by Hans Nielsen, a master electrician. The focus of the company was to provide electrical repairs in Southern Alberta.

In 1962, his son, Merv Nielsen, a professional engineer, took over the company and changed it into a major distributor of pumps and compressors. By selling high quality and reliable brand name equipment to the oil and gas industry in Western Canada, Electric Crafts firmly established itself as one of the leading suppliers in the field.

Merv retired in 1989, turning the management of the company over to the present owners. Their focus shifted from being a distributor, to the design and manufacture of specialized “niche” products, when Electric Crafts changed its name to Eagle Pump & Compressor Ltd. The company split into two divisions. One continues to serve the oil and gas industry and the other serves our wholesale customers both in Canada and the United States.

Eagle’s Wholesale Division has successfully positioned their premium cast iron compressor line in various channels of distribution throughout Canada and the United States. They are very popular for their durability and quality and are marketed exclusively through distributors under different house brands and private labels. Production facilities are located in Calgary, Alberta and Hickman, Kentucky.

Eagle Pump & Compressor Ltd believes in providing premium, quality products that perform as specified and are designed to outlive the product warranty.
